About Sung Sot Cave
Located in the central area of the bay in Bo Hon Island, Sung Sot Cave is the most beautiful and spacious cave which is one of must-visit attractions in Halong Bay. Covering a total area of over 10,000 square meter, Sung Sot cave is described as an “Opera House” with thousands of magic stalactites and stalagmites in various shapes.
At approximately 25 meters above sea level, the cave comprises two caverns, each as magnificent and fascinating as the other. The first cavern is around 30 meters high known as the waiting room before stepping into the world of fantasy in the second champer. Visitor will follow a narrow stone path from the first cavern to the second in the orange diffused light of electric lighting. Immersed in that fanciful atmosphere, visitors are present at the “Opera House” of flowstones, stalactites, stalagmites and columns forming thoughout millions of years. The meandering pathway around the chamber gives visitors a better view from to different angles, which is perfect for creating a precious photo.
